How to save the "unsaved changes" records in bulk

Hi, 

I created field mapping from Lead -> Contact. As expected the existing Lead records(Inactive since qualified) have this new field value as "blank" and also will be blank on existing contacts, I did bulk update to set the the field value on Contacts, however, all these existing contact records are showing "Unsaved Changes". 

So the question is, is there a way to bulk update these unsaved changes records to save.

    Hi,

    Please check if you set some values with Business Rules or Javascript.

    The bulk update is not the problem's source.

    Hi Mehdi,

    We are using Business rule to display and hide fields and make them mandatory but not to set values.

    And lets assume yes the Business rule is setting the value, how can this be rectified.

    When you have a Business rule with Entity Scope, The logic are executed also in the server-side. So all the changes are saved in the back-end.

    Thanks for your reply, I understand Business rule is doing something to make these records show unsaved changes and that the logic is executed server side, but sorry it is still not clear to me as what actions/steps i can take to bulk update these "unsaved changes" records in one go. Do i need to change anything about these business rules or there is another way to achieve this?

    Hi. I am having a similar problem. We changed some logic on a business rule (scope is on Entity level), however now we have unsaved opportunities. When we open the records, the Est. Revenue (part of the logic change on the business rule) is updated as anticipated. However, when looking at the values on a view, the Est. Revenue is not updated. One would need to open record by record and save in order to get the correct value. Is there a way to bulk update these unsaved changes without opening one record at a time? (there are over 5k records)
