Unable to use Customer Insights - Data segment within Real-time Journeys

I have created a segment within Customer Insights - Data that is a dynamic segment that updates daily, based off of a join of data from my Real-time Journeys Contact table, and some other internal data sources. This segment is targeting new users within the last 30 days of a specific attribute type, using an intersecting join.

When I attempt to use the segment in a Real-time Journey, I receive the following error, "Cannot read properties of null (reading 'map')" underneath the dropdown field in the Journey Builder, as well as "No Contactable Fields Found" within the dropdown itself.

The same email field (emailaddress1) that I use in Contacts for Segments within Real-time Journeys is present in the output of this data join, but Dynamics does not recognize it.
Can anyone assist?

Please check the below settings and see if it works

    • Go to Settings → Customer Insights – Journeys → Data configuration.
    • Profile (audience) table must be Contact (or your custom audience if you really use one).
    • Under Choose contact points:
    • For Email, make sure emailaddress1 is mapped as a contact point.
    • Save & Publish changes.
If you’re using a custom audience/table, you must explicitly map one or more Email fields as contact points here. If none are mapped, you’ll get “No Contactable Fields Found.”

    Thanks

    Hi mattgolsen,

Did the proposed solution helped? I'm having the same issue, that I can use a segment created in Customer Insight - Data, for a real time journey, but no email available to select. And I was no able to find this "Data configuration" setting.

    Hi all,

Just for documentation, I finally found the where to have this configuration.

Settings -> Customer engagement -> Audience configuration

From there I was able to map the emails from my customer profile as pointed by Ramesh Kumar.

    Thanks
