How to import excel data from F&O into SQL Server ?

Hi guys,

I'm sorry as this is not directly a F&O issue, but when we download a table content, usually with "Export to Excel" function, can we import back the data into our local SQL Server ?

I have my own SQL installation but when importing, in SSMS and choose my Database > Task > Import data and choose the excel file, I always have this error :

Been searching in google and found many thread about this but none resolve my issue.

The VM I'm using is 64bit, and have Office 2016 installed. As per some thread I have installed Microsoft Access Database Engine 2010 Redistributable, but not help.

Anyone has experienced on this and know how to resolve it ?

The reason why I need to import back but to my local SQL installation is because I need to analyze the data from Production which is cloud base and I don't have access to the DB.

    Hi,

    Can you export as CSV and try the option of 'Import flat file' ? You can create a new table in this option and analyse your data .
