GP 8 - SQL2000 - Fiscal Year Close. Getting the following error: Insert Error: Column name or number of supplied values does not match table definition.
Comes up just prior to printing the report and then the JE is out of balance for closing.

Thanks for your post.
Usually this error occurs on the glYearEndCloseMain stored procedure and is due to an interruption. I recommend first restoring the database and trying the YEC again to see if that gets you past the issue. Have all users log out of the system prior to running the close first and make sure there are no stuck records in the following tables;
tempdb..DEX_LOCK
tempbd..DEX_SESSION
DYNAMICS..ACTIVITY
DYNAMICS..SY00800
DYNAMICS..SY00801
If that doesn't get you past the issue, this has also been know to occur due to a damaged SY00500 table. With a backup in place, recreate the table using the PSTL tool and then try the close again.
