error in bank payment type choice in 1 line of payment journal. fixable?

I accidentally marked 1 line of payment journal as bank payment type "Electronic Payment- IAT", while the rest were marked as "Electronic Payment". I exported, and uploaded the file to the bank, then realizing that the "IAT" line did not get included in the EFT batch. Now, when I try to post the payment journal (was going to void this line after), I get the following error message:

Check Transmitted must have a value in Gen. Journal Line: Journal Template Name=PAYMENT, Journal Batch Name=ACH, Line No.=170000. It cannot be zero or empty.

Is there another way to fix this??

Hi, Hopefully, the information below will provide you with some useful pointers.

Cancel Export in Payment Journal with EFT File Generated

    Thanks.

    Hello,

Yes, this is fixable, and I would not post the IAT line and then void it. The error is essentially protecting you from posting an electronic payment that Business Central doesn't consider transmitted/generated: Microsoft’s EFT process is Payment Journal → Export → Generate EFT File → send to bank → post after processing. Since this line was accidentally set to Electronic Payment-IAT and wasn't included in the EFT file sent to the bank, the cleanest approach is to remove/recreate that one payment line with Bank Payment Type = Electronic Payment, then export and Generate EFT File for it separately and send that new file to the bank. If Business Central still allows you to change the Bank Payment Type on the existing line and it hasn't been included in a generated EFT file, you can correct it instead of recreating it. Then post the other payments that were actually transmitted. I would not manually populate or bypass the Check Transmitted field, because that validation is there specifically to prevent an EFT payment from being posted when it wasn't actually transmitted.

@OussamaSabbouh Hi, when I tried to switch the payment type to Electronic Payment, I received the following error again:

Check Printed must be equal to 'No' in Gen. Journal Line: Journal Template Name=PAYMENT, Journal Batch Name=ACH, Line No.=170000. Current value is 'Yes'.

Is this because the item was included in the export PDF? It did not make it into the payment sent to the bank, but it seems it's still linked to the rest of the transactions that were exported to the PDF. Is there something else I should be clicking to mitigate the error?
