how to control the list of users available as Owners

In the default environment there are a lot of users including AD users that do not have a D365 license.

How do you control this to only be "valid/licensed" users?

    Hi Partner,

The user list is displayed through the lookup view of the user entity and you can customize it so that it displays records as you need them.

Go to Settings > Custmizations > customize the system > Entities > User > View, Find 'User Lookup View' and open it:

AD users include '#' symbol, so you can use it to filter view:

    Save and Publish.

    hi

To control user access in Dynamics 365, you need to assign appropriate licenses to each user in the Microsoft 365 admin center. This ensures that only licensed users can access the Dynamics 365 environment.

Here are the general steps you can follow:

Log in to the Microsoft 365 admin center with your admin credentials.

Navigate to the Users tab and select the user(s) you want to assign licenses to.

Click on the Edit button to update the user's licenses.

In the Licenses pane, select the appropriate licenses that include Dynamics 365 access.

    Save the changes.

Once the license is assigned to the user, they will be able to access Dynamics 365 based on their assigned security roles and permissions.

To enforce license compliance, you can use the License enforcement feature in Dynamics 365. This allows you to restrict user access based on their assigned licenses. For example, if a user tries to access a Dynamics 365 app that they do not have a license for, they will be blocked from accessing it.

To enable license enforcement, you need to:

Go to the Power Platform Admin Center.

Select the environment you want to enable license enforcement for.

Navigate to the Settings tab and select Security.

Scroll down to the License enforcement section and enable it.

    Save the changes.

With license enforcement enabled, only users with the appropriate licenses will be able to access Dynamics 365.
