When working within the Initial Public View, by changing views or filters and selecting the 'Save current filters as default' option, the default view is replicated across the calendar of every user. This is being done without system admin privileges.
I was of the understanding that a user was able to save their own default view without this affecting the views of all other users?

I have the same question (0)Hello Johnson,
That is because that view is shared with everyone.
On the schedule board, “Initial public view” is a default public view which is shared with everyone (so every modification will be available for every user) and as I know it cannot be deleted, once you delete it the system automatically creates a new “Initial Public View”. The owner of this view is SYSTEM. (you can find that through advanced find -> schedule board setting entity)
So, the user should create its own personal Schedule board and apply the filters and modification on its own view which does not impact in other views.
On the schedule board click on + and create a new Schedule Board, then in Share With field select Just Me then click on Add.
At this point the user has its own schedule board view and can apply different filters at user level and the view is visible just for who is created it.
