Can anyone please provide me with a link on how the Approval button works in the Purchase Order and Sales Return Order cards?  We would like to start using this but have no documentation on how this works.  Any help is appreciated.

    Hi mbr,

I did it long time ago. It is convenient for managers to view order detail and perform approval directly on document card page, rather than go back to approval entry list. First take a look these functions on approval entry page, then bring them to document card page. Source record of standard approval function is approval entry, therefore, on document card page, you need to get the approval entry of the document (should care about approver id and current userid). Invoke the function when you find approval entry, otherwise notify user that he/she has no permission to carry out approval function on current document.

Why can't the answer be found within NAV's help screens?

Why must one goto a youtube video (which not everyone has access to) or an obscure web address?

I've found NAV's help/search box to be just this side of worthless, and this is just another example.

Thank you all for your help.  I had copied all the links and suggestions from all of you and will go through all the links and possibly customize (per Khoa).  I am excited to learn about the approval process.  Much obliged.
