Hi,
I read that when upgrading document services from AX2012 to D365FO you have to rewrite it them. Can you explain more? and give an example of how to do it?
There is no way for a quick upgrade. You need to review all your integrations made with AIF and choose a suitable integration strategy for each interface in D365.

Data entities is the new way to import and export data in Dynamics 365. AIF has been removed - docs.microsoft.com/.../deprecated-features
There are several hundred data entities that ship out of the box which should provide the document feature that AIF did and much more -
