Hi, I've got a custom entity that has a few different forms. When a user fills out a form - dynamics saves which form they last used so opens that one every time. Is there anyway to force dynamics, to select a specific form each time the new button is clicked on a sub-grid?

All users need to have access to all of the forms so can't do anything with security rules. Have also tried forcing the form view via JS which works but creates a lot of internal dynamics errors.

Yep the main problem with that is that when the user clicks the new button on the sub-grid it populates a field but when I try to set that field (a lookup) it doesn't set it.

I've used the Xrm.Page.ui.formSelector documentation to get it to change to the form I want - but it doesn't pass the data across. Is there a way to find out using JS when the form has transferred from Job, to closure? (for example).

When done correctly selecting a particular form in JavaScript should work OK. Do you always want to use the same form when creating a new record of that entity? Then you could always check if the record is in create state and switch to a particular form then. Or how have you tried to do the JS?
