do you have any experience on SL 6.5 SP1 running on Windows 7?
are there any problems when we run SL 6.5 SP1 on Windows 7?

To my knowledge, i don't see any problem on installing SL 6.5 SP1 on windows 7.

I have several clients that run SL 6.5 on Windows 7 (both the 32-bit and the 64-bit versions of Windows. For your information, I also have a few clients using Windows 8.1 and SL 6.5.
There is one issue with a workaround. When you try to install the SL client on a Windows 7 or later workstation the client will not install stating that the client cannot be installed from a UNC location even though you are using a mapped drive. The workaround is to copy the wrkstn folder down from the server to the local drive C and install the client from that copy. You will get a warning that it will install but may not work properly but I have not run into any situation where it did not work. One note: you will have to point back to the server location of SL during the part of the install where it is asking the location of SL.
