Set Onblur event for Email validation in CRM 2011 using Javascript.
Example: Check Invalid Email Address in form load event and Set Focus on Email Field.

Generally I use an on change event instead of blur.
To Set focus, you can review msdn.microsoft.com/.../gg334266(v=crm.5).aspx which has a set focus function built into the dynamics CRM form.
There isn't an onblur event - there is only an on change event for fields.
This means if you select a field, and the move away from focus without changing the field, the on change event will not fire.
For your example scenario - the onchange event should be sufficient.
