The problem is in the tendering, it has way too many steps in the process. What I would like to do is to emulate a cash register in function. I need to create a task pad with numeric buttons on it so I can enter the money and push the appropriate tender button. The main problem I have is that I can't figure out how to create numeric buttons. If I use the on screen keyboard it will work but I don't want the operator to have to use the mouse or switch back and forth between keyboard and touch screen. And I dont want to leave the onscreen keyboard up all the time as it clutters the screen too much.
The other issue is how to get the program to figure the correct change, if I create a tender button on the task pad , ring up a sale, use the onscreen keyboard number pad and then tender the sale it won’t tell me how much change to give the customer
Before I submit this to product enhancement, I thought I would submit it here and see if there were any suggestions first
Thanks
Mark

I just got this response from Microsoft.
Note that you can use the Quick Pay task pad options to set up various amounts, automatically enter exact amount, as well as open the payment method form for manual entry. However, I have added a suggestion to automatically display a number keypad in the event the last option is selected. We will consider this functionality for a future release.
Best regards.

And this is the response i sent to their response
I know about the Quick pay fiunctionality.
This is not what the customer or for that matter any quick service type of enviroment needs. We need the ability to rapidly tender a sale, having any extra windows pop up in any way that would slow down the sale is lost revenue.
They need a task pad with directly accessable numbers 0 through 9 and a tender button Cash, Check, Charge so they can enter the amount of the sale and tender it.
Scan the items.
Directly enter the amount the customer owes.
press the tender button.
move on to the next sale
If the customer has to hop through multiple screens to tender a sale and there are a lot of customers in line (which happens at convienent stores) they will tend to be upset and not come back if it happens too often.
This option despiratly need too be adopted.
