Automation of report

Hello All,

What I need is to have an automation of the report that once the bill date is reached the report is generated as pdf, saved to notes of the entity (Custom entity) and also get exported to a file share with the file name as "InvoiceDate-CustomerNumber-InvoiceNumber" ? 

How can I do that? Do I need to create a plugin for that or there's another way to do this?

    Generating a SSRS report in CRM Online automatically isn't possible. There are some hacks do to it from the client side but they're unsupported. It's possible to leverage the Document Template functionality and call the associated Action from a workflow to generate a document. Some code could be written to retrieve it from the Note it gets attached to for conversion to PDF. That would require a third party library being ILMerged with a plug-in or an external service. 

    There are ISVs that handle document generation but they usually rely on an external service for conversion. 

    Exporting data to your own reporting server could be an option.

    Then getting it to a file share from Online - again would probably need a service application running on the server when the file is going to end up which could be called from a plug-in.
