Custom Entity Items and Views not appearing in RECENT List

In our environment, custom entity items and views used to appear in the RECENT list, but now our users (on all browsers) are only seeing native entity items and views.  How do we fix this so custom entity items and views are captured in the RECENT" menu?  (Note - we use Sales Hub, but this is also happening in all other apps.)

    Yes, I have full admin access and all other users have full read/write access.

    I also see custom entities in Recent Item. You're accessing the record, right?
