Hi , we are almost done integration with RMS , our old POS syteme was letting us the alternative to give a credit memo to our registered customer , i understand that RMS cant to this out of the box ,
what are the alternative available ,?
can we offer the customer a gift card of the value credited ?

Yes, it's not perfect fit, but still...as an option...
Let say You have a customer, that has a associated account (let's call it Credit account, you can define accounts in RMS SO Manager / Database / Account Types), and that account has credit limit, you can edit that credit limit (manually or by some small add-on) and the customer will have that credit available to use for his transactions... as additional tender type... but still, voucher is the best option I beleive...
Vouchers are available from CU5 I think...

In RMS You can have customers account with ammount to spend or You can return voucher (depending on the RMS version). The third option would be You develop some other type of credit or similar, like points (there are good add-on on points btw...).
