Issue with lookup field without a "Target Record Type"

We are having an issue with a lookup field that has a blank (missing) "Target Record Type". We cannot delete it because it says it has dependencies. Here is what we see in our CRM: 3301.crm_5F00_error.PNG

We need to delete it so we can delete the Entity it is on. We are having solution import/export issue because of it.

Have you tried to delete all records of that entity you want to delete first and then try to delete this field?
