Deprecation of Management Reporter

Is Management Reporter going to be completely deprecated by Microsoft any time soon? If yes then what's the timeline? and what are the proposed alternatives to move on as per Microsoft's recommendation?

    Not likely.  Microsoft has been talking about replacing MR with Power BI since at least 2017, as far as I know, but I think the task has been more challenging than originally envisioned.  There was some talk about Business Performance Analytics replacing MR but so far, I've seen no announcements to that effect.  Maybe someone here has more current info than I.

    An addition to the reply from Frank. There is no deprecation announcement for Management Reporter. True that there might be alternatives, such as Power BI and Business Process Analytics, but MR is widely used today. I think in case Microsoft will make such announcement, clients will have a lot of time to change to the replacement (probably 1-2 years).

    Working with the Microsoft services team on an engagement and got to know that there are no plans as of now to deprecate Management reporter. 
    Refer to this roadmap for planned releases on Dynamics 365 Finance, SCM and PowerPlatform.

    MR remains technically supported until January 11, 2028, as long as you are using Dynamics GP with an updated version of CU16 or higher and have a current maintenance contract. hole io
