Principal user is missing prvAppendToWorkflow privilege

Posted on by Microsoft Employee

Hello all,

After upgrading to Dynamics 365 on premise version and fixing the missing bpf, the error for existing bpf and the missing security roles for bpf, I'm facing a new problem now. With the exception of the Admin user, all other users will be getting an Insufficient Permissions error when trying to move to the next stage. This is very confusing for me. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    Hi Bobby,

Go To Settings => Security => Security Roles.

Click the role in which you are facing this issue.

    Go To Customization Tab.

    Look for Process option.

Check "Append To" role access and change it as follows :

Please mark my answer as verified, if it solves your query.

    Thanks.

I'm not sure if I'm reading this message correctly but is this actually referring to Workflow entity?

    Hello BobbyC,
I think the user with the ID = 284706e5-10f3-e311-80cf-00155d809921 does not have the privilege "prvAppendToWorkflow".

    To check that :
Verify if the user have the security role "Append To" on the entity Process under Customization Tab.
    BR,
