Hi,

I would like to understand the purpose of the 'Update module access' function. Is it possible to allow certain individuals to post transactions in a closed period, while preventing others from doing so, including those made through batch data imports? If not, is the only option to change the posting access for a given module from 'all' to 'none', assign access to a specific group of people (for example, in the GL module), and then reopen the period (i.e., change the status from 'on hold' to 'open')?

Hi Kacper,

Using specific setup, then yes it is possible to set specific access to post in e.g. the ledger module where all others are set to not allow postings. You can indeed assign specific people to a group and link that to module access per ledger period.

You can set the period's status to "Open", and grant a group of use to access the specific module.
