I have done a animation without a loop so it should run once and then stop. I have saved it in .fbx-format.
But in Guides, the animation runs in loops and never stops.
Can this be solved in any way?
A way to get around this would be to adjust the animation so that when it reaches it's final state you extend that state through more animation frames. This will mean the animation is still technically playing, but its final state will be maintained for as long as you extend that final frame. The animation will still loop once it reaches the final frame of the animation, but will appear to stop animating as long as you maintain that hold. This isn't exactly the solution you are looking for, but it is what we have used to create similar functionality to what you want.
Hi,
Thanks for the reply. I forgot to mention that I also tried this and one can not see any difference in behavior, whether I add none, 100 or 500 keyframes after the last keyframe for the animation
This might be an issue with your export settings. When you export an animation to .fbx there are settings to "bake" the animation, including the keyframe start and keyframe end points for the animation to bake.
Are you certain that your new export is taking in these additional keyframes that you have set?
Oh, I forgot to export it but instead saved it. Now it actually works. Thank you very much
