How to setup SMTP in Business Central with Exchange on-premise

Hello together,

we want to set up SMTP in Business Central for outgoing emails. We use an Exchange on-premise server and would need to whitelist the server IP address from Business Central on our system that should be allowed to use STMP.

What IP addresses range does Business Central use? Is Exchange on-premise even supported in this use case?

    Hello,

    If you know the datacenter the BC tenant is operating from you can whitelist that datacenter's IP to allow communication. It should also be possible to get a specific IP but we cannot guarantee that this IP will never change.

    Hello,

    In the Environment section of the Admin Center, within the details of your BC details, you can see the Azure region. That should give you a good start. Also the country release you choose when creating the BC tenant should even narrow it down more.
