AX 2012 R3 - Warehouse Management - Issue with Shipment processing for Transfer Pick

Hi,

I am using Warehouse Management of AX 2012 R3, CU8. I have got 2 issues while processing transfer pick through the mobile device menu.

1. I have configured a transfer order pick process and created location directives to put in Baydoor location profile. The same location type is mentioned in Parameters as the Final shipping location type. However, when I release to warehouse, the pick work line finds a location, but the location field for put workline is blank. As a result of which I have to manually enter the put location.

2. Once I complete the picking process using the mobile device menu, I come back to Ax and try to post Confirmation for processing the shipment, it gives me an error that there are not enough transactions with status on order, or picked. However, on the TO lines, the quantity is shown as picked. In the USMF company on the demo data, when I tried to post confirmation of shipment, I got an error that transactions are not enabled for posting.

Would appreciate any kind of help on the above two issues.

    Dear Ashok,

    1. Kindly verify the following for the 1st process of issue

        a. Location profile should have Location type baydoor and location format  baydoor.

        b. Location type baydoor should be selected in parameter and location profile/    Location baydoor should be selected in location directive action edit query.

You need to create two location directive one for picking another for putting.

    2. Check that you have reservation check mark selected in the transfer order. Make sure you have not enable negative inventory in location profile.

As your error says that you transaction doesn't have on order for the issue process or it didn't pic the material from issue location.

Check your issue process again did system give you exact location or not.

Also check the  transfer receipt location from where system will take the material and put into bulk for fixed location.

    Hi Prashant,

    Thanks for your response.

    1. Location directive has Baydoor in the edit query screen. Baydoor format and types have been defined. And a Baydoor location has been created as well. It is defined in parameters  as well. I have created two directives, one for pick and for put. The pick directive is working fine and picking from the right location. The put location is not suggesting anything.

    2. Reservation check mark is ticked (otherwise I would not be able to release to warehouse)

    Negative inventory is not enabled.

I completed the picking process from mobile device, manually putting in the baydoor location for put work. The transactions against the transfer order show the line as picked.

However, on confirmation of shipment, I am getting the error not enough transactions with status picked.

Can you just try to receive from form. There is a option in the same screen. Try it if you can do this or not.

tell me if you need more help. Contact me if you need more support.

    Hi,

On your Work template (of type 'Transfer issue') does the Put line have a 'Directive code'?

Can we get a screenshot of the Location Directive Action setup form, showing the 'Put' location directive (of type 'Transfer issue'), and perhaps the contents of the 'Edit query' from the Location Directive Action?

    Hi,

The problem of the system not picking up the baydoor location was solved by

    1.  Recreating the Location profile and making sure it was LP controlled.

    2. Recreating the location directives.

I am not sure about the problem with shipment confirmation - Might be an issue with conflict with WMII (pallets). I tried the same config in another environment which didnot have WMII active and I didnot get any error.

Thanks all for your suggestions and help.

    Regards

    Ashok

As per suggestion from Microsoft don't use these two warehousing process together. And since you are using both together its really hard to figure out the exact issue.

If you need further in warehousing process help please revert.
