Import from a data file throws 65 seconds timeout / on-prem environment

I get a 65 sec time out error when importing a company on the on-prem server. The filesize is approx 340Mb, so that don't seem to be the issue. But I can't find any timeout setting of 65s in any config (not IIS nor BC). Anyone recognize this?

My recommendation is to test on a copy of the database to import the file with PowerShell first.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../import-navdata

    Use the -CommitPerTable switch.

Make sure the NST instance is configured with SQL Command Timeout to 23:00:00

I wonder if PowerShell will give you a better error message then.

    Strange, I get this error:

Import-NAVData : Cannot rename or create a new company with the name (IB GF) because a company with the same name already exists

The company I tried to import does not exist anymore in the companies list as I deleted it earlier. But somehow it looks like it still is around in the underlying tables?

I've checked the SQL tables, but the IB GF company doesn't exist there. Maybe there is some other location?

    Hi Robertvdk,

I have seen this problem some time ago myself and tested this actually again with a BC 18.5 version where I cannot reproduce the problem anymore, so possible this is fixed. I recommend to test this against a current version and if the problem still occurs, contact the support to get this specific scenario analyzed and fixed.

    Hi Sebastian,

Tnx, I will update to the latest this weekend an hope it will be solved with that action. I understood from our partner that it should have been solved in 18.2. We were at 18.0 at this moment.

Have you checked the operation timeout setting on your Business Central middle tier server?

Hi, please check the following settings in Adminstration tool.

I can import via powershell. That is my workaround at the moment.

Hi Inge, I have set this to 1000 and MaxValue, so in theory there wouldn't be any timeout set according the instructions.

Hi Zhu, my settings are the same as in the screenshot. Is the batchsize the max uploaded filesize?
