    Hi Agus,

If you have data in more than one company for the new table collection, you have to choose which records should remain or not. If there is data in just one company, you can create e.g. a SQL script to update 'BMF' to the dataareaid of the virtual company. This should be run at a time when the AOS services have been stopped; it could otherwise have issues with cached data.

    dear andre,

do you mean, update only by using script like this ==>

    update custtable

    set DATAAREAID = 'com'

    where DATAAREAID = 'frsi'

    Hi Agus,

This is possible, but keep in mind that if you do this for multiple legal entities, you can create duplicates which needs to be prevented.

    Hi,

as André mentioned: If you have only one company you can do this with a simple update. Even if you have more than one to move you can do that as long as you don't have the same accountnum (example custtable) in two or more of the local companies which are going to be assigned for the tablecollection in the new virtual company.

But: Did you consider the following?

    - Virtual Companies is a really old "feature" which can't be used in future versions.

    - Maybe you're going to run in trouble with exisiting joined views (or exisiting joined selections in queries) after doing such "virtualization" which use this tables (or cube stagings)

    - There is a complex datamodel starting with ax2012. In your case you'll have local referenced tables after 'virtualizing' the custtable. For example BankAccount -> CustBankAccount table. Is this intended? Whats about all the parameters?

    - Moreover: Did you consider the NumberSequences (for the custaccount) If you don't use some kind of a global scope you maybe run in trouble

    Regards Douglas
