Email Template - HTML

I'm attempting to design a new Email template (HTML) using an image and tables to enable us to send out an email once an ordered product within our business process has been despatched.

I'm struggling to get the simple styling correct to allow displaying of the email correctly on various email clients, more significally, Gmail.

I appear to get an extra row after my 'logo' table, any ideas?

Thanks.

Could you please describe better what is the problem? I assume you are creating the templates in the Administration Organization -> Setup -> Email templates, right?

Sorry, i tried to post screen shots but it doesn't seem to have worked!

Yes, that is the pathway i'm using.

I have a table with one row, which has an image placed in it.  Under this i have another table, which has Tags in there, which i then set in the code that calls the email send.

When the email is sent, the issue of the extra row appears at the top of the table created AFTER the one with the logo placed in it.

Alright, I would suggest to adjust the HTML directly, after designing it in the 'normal' tab, using the HTML tab you have on the control.

Meaning, you will see the HTML code, and remove the extra <p/> or <p> </p> that you don't need.

I designed it in HTML and it doesn't have any stray <p> tags as i can see.

Outlook, iOS etc all renders OK, just gmail that's giving me a headache and i'm not sure what i can change to combat the extra row it's producing.
