Hello Community,

Yesterday I started working with AX 4.0.

I have 0 Xp of this program but I would like to develop my skills fast in dayly usage of this software ( no programming) within a supply chain compagny.

Currently i look for some kind of potential home training during night hours.

Could anybody provide useful links to blogs/vids/books for training at rookie level?

Best regards,
Albert

    Hi Albert,

You can download a free copy (PDF) of the book "Inside Microsoft Dynamics AX 4.0" from Microsoft.

    This is the link: download.microsoft.com/.../622579ebook.pdf

    Cheers,

    Palle

If you don't have a customer source login, your partner can provide this for you.

There are some documents there, but there is a coarse for the AX 2009 that I know should be somewhere out there. :)

I meant , if you have Partnersource ID  Or CustomerSource ID , you can download numerous documents.

    Hi Kumkum,

Could you explain what these credentials are/look like? I am really a total AX rookie.

There isn't much on AX 4.0... However there might be some on AX 2009. There are official training material for it, but you would have to search for it or better yet ask your partner.

Not too much difference in functionality from 4.0 to 2009.

AX 2012 has a lot of new features (especially in R3), so that might be more confusing.

    Hi Albert,

Note that AX4 is a quite old version. I wonder if you still can find information on the internet. If your employer has an active enhancement plan on AX, they should have access on Customersource. You can try to find some information on that portal.

Hi Albert, you could search in youtube as channel9 dynamics ax, consider anyway that Ax 4.0 isn't more supported.

Access to technet too for basic information.

    Bye, Daniele.
