Intersect entity - Can I hide the "add new" button from one side of the linkage but not the other

I have two customised entities that I have created an intersect entity for. I know how to hide "add existing" and I assume hiding "add new" is basically the same, however due to business process, I want to be able to "add new" from one side of the linkage but not the other i.e. I want to be able to "add new" from one of the customised entities but the not the other. Therefore I don't believe I can restrict the add via the security roles as I still need to be able to add. I don't want "add existing" for either entity so I can restrict it via changes to the ribbon (xml)

Is this possible and if so how would I do it ?

thanks Jo

    Hi Joc,

Yes, you can use ribbon workbench to hide the ribbon using display rule.

    Thanks.
