I have set up a development server (windows2008R2) running two VM's ( both windows2008R2). on one VM i have installed SQL20012 and the other CRM2013
I have been searching the net to try and find out how i can access the CRM server from outside the office. In crm2011 , I had to set up adfs 2.0 for IFD, Is it the same in CRM2013?
is there any documentation showing how to set this up

There is a chapter called "Configure a Microsoft Dynamics CRM Internet-facing deployment".
And basically, yes, it is similar.
