Will the adress of web service be changed after configuration IFD for Dynamics CRM 2016 on-premises

Hello,

We have used Dynamics CRM 2016 on-premises for our entreprise, from the beginning, CRM is only for internal use (Non IFD configuration). We have developped many applications that calles the crm web service (IOrganizationService), like http://[servename]:[port]/[orgname]/XRMServices/2011/Organization.svc

Today, we would like to make our CRM accessible via Internet so we will configure IFD for our CRM. But after that, will we change the adresse of web service for all of the applications (http to https)? for the CRM for Outlook aready configured, we have to also re-configure for all users?

    I will try to do the configuration. It will be a hard work to change service addresse for all applications.

    That depends on how you configured your CRM but usually you will have to use something like

    https://crminternal.[domain]/[orgname]/main.aspx

    But the easiest way to check is to open browser and enter url.

    Is the old URL "http://[servername]:[port]/[orgname]/main.aspx still availble for local network?

    Yes. Address should look like https://[orgname].[domainname]/XrmServices/2011/Organization.svc
