Triggering a customer journey using Power Automate

Hello everyone,

I have a Power Automate Cloud flow that triggers on a daily basis that performs an update to the contacts entity.
After the targeted contacts from the entity are updated, I have a requirement to trigger a specific customer journey in the Dynamics 365 Marketing Module.

I would like to know if it's possible:

  • To perform a bound or unbound action to trigger a specific customer journey in the marketing module.

If the above is feasible, can please someone provide an example to achieve the above scenario?

Any help is highly appreciated.

    Hi,

    If the flow will change a field in Contact entity, the journey can be triggered with setting the audience as the following:

    Or it cannot be done.

    Hello Nya ,

    Thank you so much for providing a screenshot as I was not aware of this feature in the marketing module.

    Does this mean that every time the flow updates a specific field in the Contact entity, the customer journey will be triggered based on the contact where the field was updated?

    So if the flow updated the specific field for 100 contacts the customer journey will trigger x100 times?

    Hi EBMRay,

    Yes, you are right.

    The journey will process all the contacts which are contained in audience(which can be a segment/ contacts who submit a form/ contacts whose field is updated) of the journey.
