Run SSRS Report from Report Manager URL

ReportReport
Posted on by 107

I developed an  Report with RDP class. I am passing query it to the report  as SRSReportQueryAttribute .

Report is working fine when we run from AX.

But when I run from Report Manager URL present in Report Server configuration is AX it doesn't prompt to enter values to query, it directly shows all the data. It doesn't ask the query parameters and ran the report showing all data.

IS this the way it should be or is any issue of alternate solution.

I believe this is because when you are access the Report Manager URL the report is run under the security account as defined for the connector which usually has admin level rights and hence rendering all records.

    Check out the architecture here:

So, you want what parameters to be shown on the reports' run page?

Is it the Query that you want to set some ranges on (option that was possible in AX before the report is displayed), or is it the other parameters that are present in the Contract and are basically dropdowns with some values, radio buttons, etc?

I want to set some ranges on the query, there are no other parameters/contract class

I though you will say that, and, unfortunately (at least from my experience) this is not possible. The ranges you set on the query itself are embedded in the AX kernel handling classes and of course you can't access that from the SSRS Reports (manager) URL. So you are not able to do that.
