Need AX license after CU9 installed

Hi all,

After installing CU9 slipstream and reinstallling AX, I only have access to Retail Essentials, I read that now I need a license, saw Martin Dráb's comment about having to get a demo license from Partners.  Got the license, but it seems to be for Contoso only.  Will this bring back my test demo data?
