BC: Cannot Download Symbols

Hello:

In Visual Studio Code, I cannot download symbols.  It asked me to see the output log for more details.  I don't know where this is.  And, the online articles on this error are useless.

How do I get past this error, so that I may download symbols?

I think that it mentions not having permissions to indirect read.  I  I don't know how to fix this because I am a beginner.

This is Business Central.

Thanks!

John

The only solution that finally worked for me was to recreate the sandbox.

In the app.json file you pasted before, there is a section with "authentication". Try changing its value :-) Br,

    Hello John,

Can you try the "authentication" from UserPassword to "Windows" and try again please?

    Best regards,

    Hi Suresh:

I had tried clearing cache and logging in.  But, I still get the error.

    It's not locally installed.

Are you using docker or local installed NAV? if so, how are you accessing the client, using Windows authentication or userpassword? When you prompt for download symbols it should have prompted username and then password. if you don't see it, try to clear the cache by using

F1 and AL: Clear Credential Cache and then try again downloading symbols.

Based on your server instance looks like it is not a container.

    Hi Jose:

    That's a great video!  Thanks!

I still receive the error.  It must have to do with authenticating, but I have entered my work credentials as best as I know how.  Is there anything else that I can do, based on what I sent earlier?
