How to create bulk Contact + Quotes from importing excel ?

Our company recently started using Dynamic NAV, We have a lot of past quotations in excels with customer information to enter into the NAV system.

My role is to create a quotation with customer details, equipment details, application specifications, etc.

Not every quote turns into a customer so I've been creating these from Create new contacts, then create a sales quote manually.

My question is, how do I use an excel file to bulk create quotations that are connected to contact in NAV? Do I have to bulk create contacts first? then import an excel with all the quotation info matching the contacts? or is there a way to bulk create contact + quotes in one sheet.

RapidStart:

We have to bulk create contacts first

then import an excel with all the quotation(Sales header Table and Sales Line Table) info matching the contacts

Hello,

You may want to explore RapidStart (search for Config Package) and use that instead. Edit in Excel is very helpfull but does not multiple tables all at once.
