When are changes actually registered on BC?

Hello everyone,

I'm opening this topic as I have encountered a small issue with Business Central and Power Automate.

Recently we had to develop a manually triggered flow to be used from BC to first register all new Offers/Quotes on an external excel file, reporting a bunch of data like customer, value, offer date, last day of validity date.

We have then created a new flow to change the last day of validity date on the excel file when needed. Again, this flow to be triggered manually from an user when they actually change the same field on BC.

However, what I've noticed is that unless you REFRESH the offer page on BC before triggering the flow, the flow will actually get the old last day of validity date and not the new one.

Any idea on why we are encountering this behaviour?

Hi, I'm not sure what the offer page you mentioned is. If it's a problem that triggers the process, you might consider using Business events, although this is still in the preview stage.

Or you can create a recurring process that checks daily to see if the date has changed and updates the Excel sheet if it has. The downside is that this is not real time.
