Does anyone have download link for the Note Fix utility tool for GP 2010?
This would hopefully fix existing cross linked notes.
This assigned notes in the Notes window of users are at lost.

Regards,

Mike,
Did you log a support request?
Kind regards,

Richard,
The Note Maintenance tool is broken. It does not find duplicate note values. I did the unthinkable and loaded the version 10 tool on version 2010, and it didn't work either.
Looks like you are back to TSQL Mike2011 reported this a couple of posts back.
Kind regards,
Leslie

Hi Dave,
Could you guide me on how to log support request on the Notefix tool.
Regards,
Mike
Hi Leslie and Mike,
Thank you for the reply.
If this is something that can be reproduced then a support request should be logged to determine if there is a quality issue with the tool. If it is determined to be a quality issue the support request will be set as non-chargeable. However if the issue is due to data damage and you would want to work on resolving the issue with support, then it would be a chargeable incident.
Please post back if we can be of further assistance.
Dave B,
Just wanted to report that Mike and I have been talking via e-mail last week. I e-mailed him the tool, but he was having a problem with it.
Mike had found a problem with the NoteFix utility that I could reproduce over and over again. The utility found the 0 notes and replaced them with real note index numbers, but if you duplicated note indexes it did not find them.
There were several files that errored the system, which I listed for him. If you removed those files and then tried the Update Zero notes again it would work. The other problem is that all of the tables that included the note index field were not included in the selection.
To see which records are corrected you click on the Restore Notes button. Only the 0 notes were listed.
OK I tried the same routine on a different instance of Dynamics and received different results. On the new machine, the Note Fix utiltiy worked. Same Build, different machine.
I haven't had a chance to do it a third time. Best 2 out of 3 right???
Until then,
Kind regards,
Leslie
