Hi all,

For Business model MTS (Make to Stock), the user will rise the PO only based on Sales demand. From 1 PO a multiple SO shall be generated.

In BC, its possible to create PO from SO line and reserve the qty or shall create PO first and then can create SO and do the link by Reserve option in lines .Both do the same function.

But if the user want to see that SO is created from which PO no, is it possible ?

I tried enabling the hidden filed "purchase order no" in SO line , but its not capturing any values.

Below is the SO with Shipped qty using Reserve option, used against PO. But the PO no is not captured in the "purchase order no." field.

Hi,

Use there is no such functionality.

But in standard system, check Drop Shipment & Special Order feature. I thing this will fulfill you requirement.

You also have PO no. fields / So. No. fields on the sales header and purchase headers.

This fields should get a value if the PO is created on the basis of a So.

If there only is a reservation it will be the reservations entries that holds the link between the SO and PO.

Just to add some information, we have customized similar features for our clients, fully linked PO and SO, Post, Cancel, Undo will update the quantity and info.

If you want to fully meet your needs, consider customization.

Thanks for your response.

I tried creating SO and reserve item from PO, but the "PO no fields" is not capturing values of respective PO, but its capturing values only when there is drop shipment.

Example - Below is the SO with drop shipment with PO. Both shows the relation / linkage.

Reason is due to the the field property, as it coded to capture the Drop shipment alone.

But I tried the item Reservation as you mentioned and able to see the linkage in "reservation entries" page
