Editable grids - No fields editable?

(0) ShareShare
ReportReport

Hello,

I have configured Editable grids on some standard entities like Opportunity. This is working fine.

I also configured Editable grids on a custom entity but here it's not working. I can switch to editable grid but not a single field becomes editable.

The entity is a custom entity.

It's not a Child Entity.

The entity is customizable.

All like described in https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/mt788312.aspx#EntitiesSupported

I also am Owner of the records I try to edit so security wise, there is no issue, hence I can open the record en change it.

What could be wrong?

    Hello Rajkumar,

Thanks for your reply but this is not the cause of my problem. I am system administrator so I have all the necessary privileges.

    Hi Roel,

if you have added the controls (to the entity and to the subgrid) and if you have published your chases, try using another browser. I was fighting with this a couple of days ago, and, then, tried Edge (using chrome, normally). It worked.. it actually worked in Chrome as well once I realize I need to close all browsers (did not actually have to clear the cache)

    Hi Roel,

You can configure editable grids on ur custom entity.Go to Solutions->Select Custom Entity->Controls->Add Control->Editable Grid->Save & Publish.

Now Open Entity record view page, here all fields will come in editable mode.

    Hi Alex,

I already tried switching browsers and clearing cache. Doesn't seem to work. I have the option to switch to Editable Grid or Read-Only Grid but when I select the Editable Grid, no fields become editable.

    Hi Jharana,

I did exactly that, but the problem is when I switch to Editable grid on the View, no fields become editable. For example, I have a textfield that should be editable but I can't change the text when I click it.

The strange thing is that it works for Opportunities, but not for my custom entity.

There seems to be an error when switching to Editable Grid:
