Audit history hyperlinks on lookups - differences between versions

In Dynamics CRM 2013 audit history, when a lookup is shown you can click on a hyperlink for the lookup to view the record.

In Dynamics CRM online 365, there are no hyperlinks.  Please see image below which shows the difference, sorry it's a bit blurry.  

My question is did Microsoft remove this facility and do you know why?

    Yes.

    Looks like they have removed this (display the lookup as hyperlink) feature.
