Hello all...we are currently at GP version 18.2.1013 and did not apply the 2020 fall or year-end updates. Is it possible to upgrade directly to the 2021 year-end update (18.4.1374) using the MSP or do we need to apply the 2020 (18.3.x) updates first?

You can definitely upgrade directly to the 2021 YE Update (18.4.1384). You will just want to make sure that all of your ISV software (if any) is compatible. Also, you should always refer to the Upgrade Hot Topic to confirm supported upgrade paths. docs.microsoft.com/.../hot_topic_mdgpupgrade_415

My confusion stems from the Upgrade Hot Topic itself where it indicates the supported upgrade path to "18.4.1361 (October 2021)" is "18.3.1173 RTM or later". And the language below that states:
"The only supported upgrade path to the current release is from the release 1 year back from current in accordance with the Modern lifecycle"
But the MSP to 18.4.1384 itself says these updates are cumulative and I believe the point of the modern lifecycle was to not require the intermediate upgrades once you're at GP 18. So it remains confusing.
