Hello everyone,
I have heard from an old consulting-colleague of my former employer (NAV-Partner) that license enhancements (objects and users) can only be made for the current version and 2 previous versions once you have switched to Business Central. Is that true? Can anyone confirm this?
Our current NAV partner informed me that this would not be true, so I am now confused.
Background to my question: We are using NAV2019R2 with a lot of extensions and are currently upgrading to BC ("14, on-prem). Unfortunately, due to the many adjustments, the decision is to continue using the C/AL code.
If the above proves to be true, we wouldn't be able to extend the license for GoLive in 2 years and would be forced to start the next upgrade project (with VS, AL) directly afterwards.
Thank you very much for your Feedback.
Best regards, Markus

Good morning, everyone,
I found the answer myself. According to the Lifecycle policy version 14 (spring 2019) is still in mainstream support until October 2023.
Starting with version 15 (autumn 2019), the Modern Lifecycle Policy applies, which includes support for the current and 2 previous versions.
Have a good time, Markus
