How does CRM take user info from Active Directory

Hello,

My domain admin created a new AD account with an incorrect spelling of the users first name. They realised the error, deleted the original AD account and then created a new AD account with the correct spelling of the user's name.

Now, when I try to create the CRM user account, CRM can only find the details of the incorrect name spelling where the account was deleted from AD.

If I try the new name that does exist in AD then I get the error 'Business Management Error: You are trying to create a user with a domain logon that doesn't exist.'

Is anyone able to advise why this is happening and how I can find a way around the issue?

Thanks,

James

    Hi

I am not sure about this behavior, if the user is a new user and the old account is not in CRM already.

When did you delete and create a new AD account? Did that happen immediately?

    Hi

The AD account was created once with the incorrect name, this was deleted from AD after one day, and then the new AD account was created yesterday.

I tried to create the CRM account with the correct name both yesterday and today, to see if there was an overnight update or process that was needed.

I cannot see the user in Enabled or Disabled users within CRM, should I check the systemuser table to see if there are any entries there?

    Many Thanks
