I have a quick question on MS CRM 2013; there is a field called “Mobile Alert Email” while setting up an user. Just want to know, what is the significance of this field?

To my knowledge there isn't anything special about this field and it isn't utilized for anything specific to the application.
Mobile Alert Email field is used to send email to users who receive them as SMS text messages on their mobile phone. The mobile network provider has a text messaging domain like tmomail.net for T-Mobile. So the value 8337474448@tmomail.net will go into Mobile Alert Email field, where 8337474448 is the user mobile number.
