Import issues in CRM.

Hi,

I am facing two issues while importing data in ms crm.

issue 1 :  I have list which contains more than 17000 records I am not able to Import that list. I had to broke that in 3 Parts then I could Import it. I saw the maximum size of file which we can import is 8 MB and my file size is 5.12 MB still I was not able to import.

issue 2: I already have accounts in system but while importing contacts I am getting lookup reference could not be resolved error for some of the accounts.

    There are 27 columns in import list and file size is also 6 MB.

    do I have to change this value in CRM for Importing larger files.

    Regarding: Issue1:

    • Could you please elaborate more on this as what type of error you are getting?  And how many columns are present in the file?  As list of having more than 17000+ records also should be imported properly as you haven’t exceeded the default maximum import size limit of  8 MB.

     

    Regarding: Issue2:

    • “The lookup reference could not be resolved” error appear most of the time during import, the cause of the issue is trying to refer the lookup field to a record that is not present in the CRM.
    • In your case you are importing the contact records with reference to the existing Accounts, you must cross check that all the Account records (for which you are getting the error)  are present in the CRM before you go for importing the contacts.
