Hey guys,
We have a large number of organisation within our D365 F&O environment. There are a number of data entities we have been able to copy across to save setting each up manually, though we have found there are a number of fields that have to be configured manually even if they are for the same data.
Do you have any suggested tools (such as a DataLoader) that can assist us with performing these minor configurations over many organisations? I am keen to eliminate manual tasks as much as error so we can focus on other priorities and ensure there is minimal human error.
Cheers,
Regan
Thanks André and Nuno, we will continue to investigate this option. Appreciate your help!
Ok, I understood your issue.
The most clean solution is the proposed by Andre Arnaud de Calavon
In projects, sometimes I update settings across all entities using Power Automate and HTTP connector.
Hi Regan,
The data entity for the fixed asset parameters does contain the field for the minimum depreciation amount. If you do setup the virtual entities, you can use several tools, e.g. the Dataverse connector in Power Automate to loop all the records (parameters for all legal entities) and update the value. Can you details what configurations are you performing at company level ?
[/quote]A number of different things! For example last night I had to update the Fixed Asset minimum depreciation from $10.00 to $0.01 across all companies.
Can you details what configurations are you performing at company level ?
