Journal Integrity - header and line records

With respect to GP13, is there a journal integrity report/utility/program that we can run to ensure the header and line records are IN BALANCE at a Company and module level .  And, if out of balance, a report showing where the out of balance lies within the respective table/company.

GP was designed for accountants.  PeopleSoft is just a glorified HR system - LOL :)

It is not possible to post an out of balance journal in Dynamics GP.

    Hi Matt,

I agree with Frank the check link will fix any stuck records on all the modules.  The financial reconcile to GL is also can be used for reconciling GL with sub ledgers

You can't post an out of balance entry in GP.  If by chance you encounter data corruption, there's a tool called Check Links under the Maintenance menu that checks referential integrity between header and line tables to identify the offending records.  Some companies run Check Links on a regular basis to identify and correct any such potential issues.

I have experience with PeopleSoft systems, we and the Accounting managers used to run a journal integrity report by Company of any out of balances in the header and line tables.  Basically, giving us assurance there were no out of balances in the ledger (debits and credits were equal).  Essentially, nobody posted an out of balance entry.  I have yet to see a report like this in GP.  Only that sub modules are in balance with Financials.

    Hi Matt,

Can you please explain in detail what are you expecting with some example so it will be helpful to answer your question.
