Sales order approval workflow - Stuck at Pending approval

Hi all,

Hoping someone can help! I've attached the XML but have a sales order approval workflow, which points to a user group with two approvers (seq 1 and 2). The workflow activates as expected and once seq1 has approved another request is sent to seq2, which is then approved aswell. The issue is that it does not seem to get to the step where pending approvals = 0 and therefore the response "Release the document". My sales orders are still at the status "Pending Approval".

W/F user group below and W/F xml attached.

Hi Romryan,

I said I would post once I had an answer regarding multi-approvals user w/f user groups - so here it is!

For the event/condition below there needs to be an "<(optional) Select Next Step>" added to the current response.

Although the response, seems identical, you need to pick the one under approval is requested

This has worked fine for me, so hope the same for you too.

Susan,

I have tried the same on my custom requisition and I am experiencing the same problem like you.

The requisition disappears from the list of requests for approval after the approve button is clicked but the requisition status remains "Pending Approval" instead of changing to released. For Now I have changed to Direct approver and its working but If you get the solution on use of user group, kindly post it here with no hesitation. I will do the same if I get the solution.

Hi Susan,

I did check the workflow provided and from first sight it seems to be ok and I would expect it to work.

If this issue remains, I would suggest to create a support ticket for this. We can then check this more in detail.

You can do this yourself if you are a CSP / Dynamics 365 Partner or ask your reseller to create a ticket on your behalf.

Hi Romyan,

Thanks for responding. I want the restriction to be removed when pending approvals = 0 (ie all have approved). I tried using another condition of where "number of approved requests" = 2 but this had the same result (still stuck at pending approval status).

what if you change pending approvals = 0 to pending approvals = 1 or 2... depending on the number of subsequent approvals.
