When is a URL avilible again after deleting the environment?

Hello Community,

I deleted a CRM environment via Power Platform Admin Center and want to create a new environment with the same URL as the previous one. Unfortunately after the preperation is done, Microsoft adds a number to my URL. I know that I can change the URL in the evironment settings but trying it with my old URL doesn't have any affect. Can someone tell me when I can use the URL again?

Example:

Previous used URL: companyname.crm4.dynamics.com

After the new Environment is avalible: companyname0.crm4.dynamics.com

Sadly Microsoft doesn't even give a notification or anything about this behavior.

I have the same question (0)

    Hello Satish,

    Thanks for your reply.

I read this article as well but there are only notes about how to change a URL and how long it's blocked after a change. It wasn't clear for me if the URL of a deleted environment also would be blocked for only 24 hours.

But after some waiting I can confirm that this is the case and now I'm able to use the old URL.

    Have a nice day.

    Best regards

    Alex
