Custom Packing Slip Id and Invoice Number

We want to enter our own Packing Slip Id and Invoice Number for Sales Order. We want to set them from code and form as well. Can we achieve this with out customization.? If not what customization are required? Is there any impact on business process?.

Hi,

The Packing Slip Id and Invoice Number can be entered whether manually or Automatically from Number Sequences.

What do you exactly mean by "We want to set them from code and form as well"?

Have you used Number Sequences for the purpose previously ?

We cannot use Number Sequence. User should enter Packing Slip Id and Invoice Number manually.
